Light Weight Designs

Featured Replies

Hello guys,I want to start a design group named Lightweight Designs. We would make aircraft such as the Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Piper Arrow, Piper Warrior, etc. Basicly I would like to make a design group who makes General Aviation Aircraft. If you are interested in Forming such a Group Please contact me [email protected] the Current moment I would need...1.Modeler2.FDE designer3.Sound Designer. (Possibly me)4.Panel designerThank You

You don't mention whether you are recruiting for a freeware or payware enterprise. Reason why I mention that is once every two or three months, someone comes in here, often with a new id, recruiting for a payware enterprise where he would serve as "manager" living large off the fruits of the other designers. If it's a freeware venture, don't forget to crosspost in the aircraft design forum. I think a 172 would be great--the one offered in FS2004 lacks wheel pants and looks a bit off from what every 172 I've seen looks like. -John

Sorry yea i didn't give enough Detail. This is going to be a Freeware Design Group. I am Currently looking for a web host hopfully a free one. Here is what I have so far...www.lightweightdesigns.bravehost.comnothing special but it gets the point across and its free.Edit: Also i will be contributing since I am a painter my self.

This is a great idea. All the best to you and your efforts.A Lancair IV-P would be way cool! :-) Greg

That's a pretty good presentation really. I don't care much for glossy websites myself. As far as I know, there's not been a freeware 172, but there's FDE's out there which can't be beat. I'm a FSDS 2 designer, but nowhere near patient enough to pull off a quality project. So right now I work with other designers and help them complete or update projects--I am pretty good at catching issues regarding texturing, poly smoothing, etc.... If you guys go the FSDS 2 route, I may be able to help you out on those types of issues, as long as it's in a casual role.-John

Yep--I second the Lancair IV-P.... Glad to see another fan!-John

At the current moment anything goes Gmax,FSDS,3DSM. Anything

There are no Designers out there who would like to help me out?????
