I saw someone write a nice expression of having a 'senior' moment.I am having thousands!!I, for the first time since I bought it at launch, have had to re-install Fs9.Ok it is re-installed and going great. I have my fav 737 installed and most of what I had is working. However, I cannot find or remember a clock change file that was much better than the default I am using. It allowed you to pre-set flight times etc.Can anyone recall this clock file? Also I am stuck with the wrong Garmin. How do I change it to a better one?As I have had to take things back to basics somewhat, I thought it may be a good idea to ask the forum what add ons they feel are essential to improve look and feel of Fs9 experience.I have changed the default runways, spotlights and terminal buidings to look better with add ons.Any and All advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Ronald,I can't help you with the clock. As far as the Garmin you are using, I'm not real sure what you are wanting to change it to. If it's to chnge it from the 295 to the 500 then you will need to open up the 'panel.cfg' file for the aircraft in question. Then look for the Window section that has the GPS defined in it and change it to the following(to get the Garmin 500)...{WindowXX}Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=456,378window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0visible=0ident=GPS_PANELwindow_size= 0.360, 0.350window_pos= 0.640, 0.650gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,456,378Just curious, what did you do to change the default runways, spotlights and terminal buidings to look better with add ons? Did you install Chris Arrington's AEU6?As far as what what people feel is essential to improve the look and feel of FS2004 you might get a whole slew of answers to help you out there. But you are welcome to take a look at a guide I made in the 'Tips and Tricks' subsection of this forum titled 'OTS's Guide To a Great Looking FS2004'. The guide has Chris's AEU6 as a recommendation, which will change the change the default runways, spotlights and terminal buidings. But there are soooo many great addons to improve FS2004 it's hard to keep trak of them all! What I have started to do is make a text file that I paste in the filename of every freeware addon I install into FS2004, and I save this file of course. In case I have to reinstall some day then I have the list of everything that I chose to install for improvements. ;)Cheers,Jim

Jim,Thanks for the informative response.I have added litroads, spotlight,(landing lights enhancement),Runway detail, and some building enhancer that I cannot now find! This was added to b737fs9s_123814.zip which is my default 737 with cabin announcements. Somewhere in the last installation I had picked up GPS 500(?) the smaller more rectangular one, and now I have the fatter one! I know they do the same thing!(lol)I have AEU6 which I will install. I will certainly download your OTS guide.<>Yep housekeeping supreme! I am in awe.(lol)It does not surprise me that I have forgotten how I setup my sim, I had so long uninterrupted flying time (week one of Fs9 issue) I just got used to my 737 and the world as I knew it.Thanks for advice.
