November 26, 201213 yr Hi. I want to use flightgear as a scenery generator for PS1. For that purpose I use 747IPC, broker and fgvisual which run under XP in a virtual machine on my macbook pro. Thing is, when I tried it, it didn't work. The question is, how does fgvisual communicate with flightgear? If hey communicate via TCP/IP (which I hope) then it's a matter of configuration and I should be able to use the mac version of flightgear. Otherwise I need the windows version which for some reason refuses to work. So is it TCP/IP or something else? Can someone point m in the right direction? Thanks.
November 30, 201213 yr Author It looks like fgvisual tries to send its data to the right IP address and port (192.168.2.6:5055 in this case) but flightgear either doesn't receive it or doesn't care. It just sits there on runway 27L at EGLL. Is there a way to confirm that it receives the data, and if it does, why it doesn't care? I've tried both the command line parameters in the fgvisual readme file and in the flightgear manual, and I've edited fgvisual.ini accordingly. Do I have to launch flightgear from a command line?
