August 1, 200421 yr i'm giddy with excitement! yes! where have i been over the long period of time i've been using FS? not in flight school that's for sure. i'm sure my new found knowledge is nothing new to most of you but may help others like myself who happen to overlook some key elements like fuel loading. just took the lear up with 25% fuel in each tank and tears of joy started to flow. where's my crying towel? by the way, i was told about fuel loading, weight and balance. thanks for the help guys. anyway the takeoff was awesome. i used 20 degrees of flaps and no more zooming straight to the moon. the lear smoothly eased up off the runway with speed under control, which is a first for me. flew to 3000ft, slowed down a bit to check things out and it was wonderful. everything under control and easy. almost like the cessna. i was amazed at how easy the speed was to manage and landing was very smooth. i just have this fear that something is wrong with my computer and the flight models are mixed up and that is why all the aircraft are behaving so nicely. like i might cut my computer on one morning and find all the aircraft fly like they used to, fast and unstable. hope not! now i have to re evaluate which is my favorite aircraft as they all seem to fly correctly now at least the ones i tested. if this is true then i have to give microsoft credit and take my hat off to them for a job well done. william
August 1, 200421 yr i don't mean to fly all time time with only 25% fuel in the tanks. guess it's just that i've take note on how different an aircraft will fly with less fuel meaning less weight. gues to some extent you can throw out some of the passengers and their baggage instead of using less fuel. this is just for some folks who jump into an aircraft with fully loaded tanks and payload and notice it might fly funny. they fly better with less weight. use what you need. william
