December 18, 201213 yr HI EVERYONE, I HAVE HAD MY FSX SET UP AS A SINGLE PILOTS SEAT FOR A WHILE NOW. MY AIRCRAFT AND ENVIRONMENT SOUNDS COME FROM MY MAIN SPEAKER SYSTEM AND ALL MY ATC TRANSMISSIONS COME FROM MY USB HEADSET WHICH WORKS PERFECTLY AND IS AN OPTION WHEN USING A USB HEADSET THREW FSX AS IM SURE ALOT OF YOU ALL KNOW. THE MAIN ISSUE IM HAVING IS THAT NOW I AM ADDING A CO PILOT SEAT AND CONTROLS AND WOULD ALSO LIKE THE CO PILOT TO BE ABLE TO HEAR AND TRANSMIT TO ATC AS WELL. FOR SOME REASON WIN 7 WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO AD A SECOND SET OF USB HEADPHONES AND MIC AS IT WILL ONLY ALLOW ONE TO WORK AT ANY GIVEN TIME, I AM FRUSTRATED AND HAVE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR A SOLUTION. IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS THE SAME OR HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND HAS RESOLVED IT OR ADDED SOMETHING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE CHEERS PETER E
December 18, 201213 yr First of all, not trying to be a jerk, but please turn off Caps Lock or lift that finger of the Shift button when you type a post. It makes for much more pleasant reading . Second... That's one the issues with USB headset. They are usually recognized by Windows as seperate sound devices, so getting sound to run through two at the same time is tricky if not impossible. I am not aware of any workaround for this, but maybe someone else here is. Sorry if I'm not much help. I would set it up by using two sound cards and using a splitter plus two analog headsets for the ATC stuff.
