very strange audio problem

Hey guys,

 

My FSX installation is now very great, however I'm having a small problem. When I use my USB headset I get a cracking noise periodically andf the sound freezes, i tried new drivers etc and nothing worked. I then tried my onboard sound card with speakers and the problem was completely gone....Anybody have any idea what this could be?
