Zoomed subsections of VC panels via quick key instead A-key?

Featured Replies

This probably has been asked before, but I only find discussions of the default eyepoint position in VC.

I got the RealAir Turbine Duke, and in its manual there is the option mentioned to have several of the panel-zoomed perspectives (3D) linked to quick access keys in the FSX keycommand menu. One only had to assign keys to cameras 5-9, (1 probably is the default pilot view, 2-4 are missing), since 5-9 corresponds with these zoomed VC views on different parts of the panel. Give it a key, and you can jump to it directly. I did, and it works, and it is nice. Better, much better than needing to cycle through all them in sequence, by pressing A.

I would love to have the same for the PMDG 737NGX. TBH, I do not even know why they took the time to design 2D panel windows, especially the 2D head-up panel is more difficult to read (Sh-6 it is, I think), than if cycling to the 3D pendant of it, it also breaks immersion a bit to have this contrast between 2D and 3D panel.

Now, in the 737 you have the panels in "D accessibale via Shift-key and a number. I would like to have quick keys, but not calling up (and leaving again) the 2D panel windows, but the 3D pendants that you get when cycling through them via "A".

I expected to have gotten at least some of them now, since I entered keyboard commands in the FSX menu for cameras 5-9 as explained earlier. But they do nothing in the 737s.

Is there a way to have the virtual 3D-subpanels, zoomed, linked to the quick-view keys Shift+Number ? (Or a different combinatioin, I use a programmable HOTAS).

Thanks.
