JS41 Fatal Error/CTD on Loading

Featured Replies

Hi There,

I installed the PMDG JS41 after a long absence and it seemed to be working fine. After reading a number of good reviews on FS2Crew I decided to give myself a Xmas present. After installing FS2Crew the JS41 kept suffering a fatal error and FSX restarts or CTD.

After trying a few 'fixes' I decided to uninstall FS2Crew and the JS41 then reinstall the JS41 and try running with that. Same situation in that it sufferes a fatal error. Other aircraft seem to load and perform fine.

Something may have corrupted FXS and after searching this forum can not find a fix just people with similar problems - and those are outdated.

I will greatly appreciate if anybody can suggest a fix rather than me having to do a complete reinstall of FSX. Thank you.

Ian

Ian,

I had a similar issue and submitted a ticket at PMDG's Support. Ryan helped and problem solved. It has something to do with a dll file in the FSX gauge folder that needs replacing in some PC setups and effecting only a few. He will explain. So I suggest submitting a ticket at PMDG.support.

Hi Johann,

Thanks for responding. I have done another clean install to start afresh but if the problem persists I will log a support ticket. Cheers.

Ian
