MD11 not initializing, Dark cockpit.

Featured Replies

I have a weird problem with my PMDG MD-11 which I have owned since it came out in 2008, bought from PMDG not F1. I have recently done a clean install of Windows 7 64bit this partition is dedicated to FSX. I’ve had the MD11 installed and running perfectly for a few weeks now. Yesterday I wanted to demonstrate something to a friend when I noticed after selecting the 11, that it did not initialize as it usually does, with the green stripe and countdown. It started rather quickly to a dark cockpit, none of the displays, switches, lights or control movements work. In the background I hear the engines spooling down. From the outside view there is no surface control movement of the Flaps, spoilers, rudder, elevator none. I was able to do an auto engine start with no indication and takeoff. It flies normal with no indications

Here’s the weird part, if I select another 11 livery, it initializes normally and all panels, lights, control, and control surfaces work properly.

I own PMDG’s MD11, B747-400, B737 NGX and JS410. I’ve gone so far as to uninstall and reinstall all aircraft, also cleaned the registry, updated all C++, and deleted CFG.

If there someone out there with plausible suggestion, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Happy New Year
