August 13, 200421 yr I'm hoping to buy Ultimate Traffic in the next few days. Will it cause any problems if I download on one machine(ISDN link at work), and install on another(my home machine with dial-up modem)? I think you register and pay at installation time, but I'm not sure(or even whether that makes any difference to my query? :-))?Thanks in advance,Frank
August 13, 200421 yr I did exactly what you propose. I downloaded on the faster connection at work, saved the file to a CDROM, installed it from the CDROM on my home computer, and purchased the license from my home computer. This works fine. You don't need to purchase the file to download it, but the installation process requires you to send payment. According to Flight 1, you MUST make payment on the same machine you're installing it on.I predict you'll love UT, by the way.
August 13, 200421 yr Hi Dugan,Thank you for a swift and informative reply! Well, that does it! Why should I wait any longer? Am going to get it TODAY :-)Cheers,Frank
August 13, 200421 yr I forgot to ask how big is the UT file? I think it's about 220 MB, which would be okay as I'll be downloading to a 256MB memory key/mobile disk thingy.BR,Frank
August 13, 200421 yr I hate to appear stupid(although it ain't that difficult :-(), but I can't figure the direct downloader for Ultimate Traffic? I have the program itself installed, but the only option is Select Downloader, which allows me to browse my drives for ddf files(apparently?). Needless to mention, I want to get to the UT files at Flight1 and download them using the Downloader! Any specific advice would be appreciated.BR,Frank
