August 14, 200421 yr Looks amazing, but wondering if it makes a big hit on FPS? Any other good/bad thoughts?Best,Joel
August 15, 200421 yr I'm awaiting comments from others before spending the $35.00 price for this bird. I do like the pictures, they're awesome!
August 15, 200421 yr If you have a high end rig,a couple bucks to spare and LOVE eyecandy you can't go wrong with this one! Certainly some of the best modelling i've ever seen in FS,goes for external and internal alike. 2D panel views are excellent as well, right on par or even better then Lago F-16 ( looks like the same designers... ? ) Yes it's a (fps) Hog allright ! On par here with the Aeroworx Super Kingair, both unflyable on my measily Athlon 1.3 so can't tell you anything worthwhile about the FD, but i have a Athlon 64 3400+HT/Gf 8600Ultra in the holding....:( While the engines start-up sound is turbofan-tastic that typical A10 TF34-GE-100 whine i'd hoped to hear is sorely missing alas. UbiSoft Lock On has that nailed almost perfectly. Got a giggle out of the 'grunt and strain' sounds when flying high G loads, sounds pretty 'obscene' to me, like the pilot is taking a dump....:-outta :-hah Don't get that idea when pulling high G's with the brilliant freeware Galeb.Imho another typical A10 sound that fails a bit is that of the Gatlin cannon. Doesn't sound anything like i've heard it many times at the Holland Terschelling island practise shooting range.USAF A10's stationned at Bitburg/Germany used to practise a lot there. Sure's a sound you'll never forget. Other then that, while the sounds may not be all that brilliant (*do* love the difference between outside and inside sound! ) the Aerosoft Warthog certainly is a stunning piece of modelling work like i've ever seen one! Looks like the real thing has been de-materialised and re-digitalised for service in FS. I bet, once i have my new system to try this hog on it'll fly as great as it looks !Jan
