August 19, 200421 yr Is there anyone who knows to solve the following problem? What do I need for settings so that FS turns in normal mode automaticly if I have FS ATC on and run in 4x mode or 2x mode. When I run in 4x mode, I can not here or read the messages that ATC gives me. So I wnat that FS turns in normal mode whenever ATC send me a message. Is there anyone who can help me.
August 19, 200421 yr Yes, there is nothing to cut you back to 1X mode. Solution: run 1X mode all the time.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 19, 200421 yr Jim is right, there is nothing that you can do to change the simulation speed modes based an ATC. The few times that I have run in 2X or 4X modes there is one trick that can help you with ATC and following their directions, keep the ATC window open and once you notice that your options have changed, that is you have a list of ways to reply to ATC, hit P to pause the sim (this will avoid your flight plan getting cancelled because you did not comply fast enough) and then bring up the kneeboard, click the headphones icon to bring up the list of radio transmissions and then you can clearly see what ATC wants you to do. Then it is just a matter of closing the kneeboard unpausing the sim, follow the directions and respond to ATC. This is the only way that I have found to fly at 4X mode and always keep up with ATC unless you use the not switching frequencies trick.Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
August 19, 200421 yr Thanks for your replies. Yes I have tried this trick for a long time now and it seems to be the best solution. But sure it is a miss in FS ??Thanks againWith best regards
August 20, 200421 yr Didn't Flight Unlimited (either II or III) have this feature? You could accelerate time but when the ATC talked to you it would immediately and automatically jump back down to real time. I seem to remember it did and it was really helpful. Sure would like to see that in future versions of FS.
August 20, 200421 yr You are right! At least in Flight Unlimited III.Hopefully there is some proagrammaker out there who can fix this function.RGDS
