I purchased FSWater but for some reason I can not move my water detail slider to high. It keeps moving back to low. I have the other one set on "land only" so that's not the problem. It is almost like some video setting has been changed that those effects can not be rendered. It used to work. Any ideas?? ThanksDavid

Are you sure it used to work? What kind of graphics card do you have? Have you by any chance installed a new DirectX version lately? Because after installing DX9b on my PC, the sim crashes whenever I set the effects slider to high. -Daniel

David,I had the same problem, but have found a solution that works for my system.Change "Terrain detail" to "None". Change "Water effects" to "High". Then exit from settings to save. Then, go back into Settings, Display and change "Terrain detail" to "Land only". Exit again and the settings should be saved.I don't know why this works (or why it was a problem in the first place), but hope this helps.Wilson
