Trim, etc

Featured Replies

Please tell me if I've got this. In Lesson One, if the airplane needs to speed up and I want to use trim to do this, I would trim up which would cause the nose to go down (and the elevators up). Is that correct? And of course the opposite to slow down?Is there a way to stop a lesson ( or a flight) and return to where you were? Conversly, is there a way to speed ahead to a certain point in a lesson?LouisOh yes, and one more thing, does this FlightSim program have a provision for the "Mile High Club?":-)

Keep in mind that if you then wish to maintain altitude that you must also increase power. Power and pitch trim go hand in hand. To increase speed and maintain altitude will require increasing power. To slow down and maintain altitude will require a decrease in power. To trim the nose down roll your pitch trim forward (if you have pitch trim assigned to a button you should have it configured to push the button forward). This would deflect the elevator down. To trim the nose up roll your pitch trim back (or pull the button back if you have trim assigned to a button). This would delect the elevator up."Is there a way to stop a lesson ( or a flight) and return to where you were? I've never tried to do either."Oh yes, and one more thing, does this FlightSim program have a provision for the "Mile High Club?" "To the best of my knowledge, only in my house. :-) Others may weigh in on this.Cheers,GregEdit: Here's a good resource on all things aviation.
