August 28, 200421 yr I'm teetering on the edge of buying this. Credit Card is in my hand !! The question is will it give me a more realistic coloured sea around the UK to replace the Med type colour you get by default ?Cheers
August 28, 200421 yr I've had FS Water since it was released, and I can only tell you that the perception of what is correct water is just that... a perception. What may look great to you might seem ugly to someone else. So, in the end the is no "correct" water.Take solace though. The FS Water Installer allows you to make any number of different texture combos and then easily and quickly insert them into your sim to make whatever you want. It's really a great tool, and is easily the best "water" configurator available.I have a number of texture packs that Peter has sent me for testing (he's a prolific texture artist... I can only wonder when he sleeps!). I also have a few of the freeware texture packs on my system. I simply choose which textures I want to fly with before entering the sim. Click on my choices and... Done! And textures from any number of packs can be conbined per your desire (and perception) to yield the perfect water. For you.Hope this helps,Greg
August 28, 200421 yr Thanks Greg I'll give it a go. What I was looking for was a mucky green colour as this seems to be the usual colour of the sea around the UK .... Mostly !Cheers
August 28, 200421 yr I've been suprised as to how much of a difference FSWater makes. Was flying out of Glasgow last night and the sea off North of England certinly looked more North Sea then Pacific and certinly a hundred times better then default. Plus the water colour with a little moonlight and reflection on the low cloud cover was brilliant. For $15 it's a worthy addition. And imho more of a environmental improvement then alot of terra ferma payware floating around.Easily summed up in that before I use to avoid flying over water and stick to land mass. Now flightplans over water are just as enjoyable.
