My POSKY strobes are floating! Help!

Featured Replies

So I pull out a few posky 747's out of the hangar and noticed their wingtip strobes are floating 10-15 feet above the wings?! I know it's probable some text that needs correction but heck if I can find any thread on their website or here on the subject. Is there a patch (I'm using V3 of the models)? Or if it's just a section of text can someone post it here or send me an email?thx [email protected]

That's normal, while on the ground and the wings aren't flexing. Once you start your takeoff roll and get up in the air the wings flex and come up to where the strobes are.

I read your post and thought to myself "no... that can't be it. Those lights hover 15-20 feet in the air". Butr I took off and looked outside. Sure enough the strobes matched up perfectly!?I find it so odd that a model of such high calibur has such an oddity. Guess I Won't be doing what Motel 6 does and "leave the lights on" ;)

It's somewhat of a MSFS bug. The light can be modeled into the wing, so they move with the wing. Or they can be put in as an effect (like the POSKY aircraft) where as they are placed in a static position relitive to the aircraft. The lights tend to look like giant balls if not done correctly when modeling them into the wings. Some people like it one way, some like it the other...
