September 4, 200421 yr I live in Michigan, near Selfridge airforce base. I always see this huge military cargo jet flying around. It looks somthing like this one. Does anyone know what it is and is it available for fs2004?, Thanks, Bob
September 4, 200421 yr Hi :), The jet in the picture looks like an antonov 124 or 225, and they are both available for FS2004, here in the library. As for the aircraft at your local airforce base, I would guess it being a C-5 Galaxy, IMO the Galaxy and the Antonov look very similar... As for a C-5 for Fs2004 i honestly don't know, I think there is one for FS2002 but wether it works in '04 I don't know, sorry.Of course I could be completely wrong...(:C-5 Galaxy:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/648841/L/
September 4, 200421 yr Stainless, Thanks for the reply. That's it. C-5 Galaxy. I did find one for FS2002/fs2004. I'll try it out and let ya know how it flies.
September 4, 200421 yr Stainless is correct.That is a Russian Antonov AN-225 Mriya.http://www.aircraft-info.net/aircraft/jet_...-225/an-225.jpg
September 4, 200421 yr Hi again, :)Glad you found a C-5, if you like big, no wait, really big cargo planes , you can't go far wrong with the An-124 or the An-225 :D . They're both in the file library here on Avsim. (both by the same person/people)and come complete with opening doors/nose/tail.Anyway glad to have helped you find what you wanted :)
September 5, 200421 yr Search for Rey Lopez for the C-5.... Here's a couple of dusk shots of it, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v430/P3_...45/fsscr039.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v430/P3_...45/fsscr040.jpg :-outta http://hometown.aol.com/p3superb/images/3e72a43942b48d2b.jpg There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown "My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
September 5, 200421 yr I work in your area, Bob.Selfridge doesn't have any resident C-5s, but there have been a lot of them in an out lately ;)F-16C/D, C-130 an d K/C-135E/R are all there, along with Coast Guard HH-65s and (I was told) Army Shithooks (CH-47 Chinooks).
September 5, 200421 yr Grunt, I actually live in Plymouth, but have been working over there on 21 mile rd. I thought the darn plane was going down. It was very loud and low. Tried installing C-5 in FS2004, but kind find a nice panel for it. Thanks for the reply, Bob McDuff
