Freeware TUPOLEV 154 B2 question...

Featured Replies

Hi, I just recently uploaded the freeware TU-154 froma a Russian (Russian AVSIM?) site. I am so intrigued and eager to fly this plane that I have even begun to learn Cyrilic. The problem I am having right now, is that everytime I change to the engineer's panel, the engines shut down, and I can't re-start or cold-start it either since I get a message saying I have to register FSUIPC (pay). I have no problem with paying for it, and will, but for the moment, I was wondering if anybody who visits this forum, has had a chance to play with this amazing bird, and knows a way around the engines shutting down problem. BTW, FSUIPC site says that there is no need to register (pay) if the software is freeware, so this is why I thought there might be a way around this. I am specially intrigued by the "HBY" navigation system.... looks delicious :) ....thanks for your help in advance,MacSite link below, if you want to check it out.:http://tu154.avsim.ru/

Hi Mac,yes, you need FSUIPC to get the APU working. It is much recommended to load the default Cessna first, then shut down engines, turn the Master Switches and Avionics off and then load the Tu-154 to get it in correct cold and dark state.I'm flying it since half a year now and also made an english manual, it's available here : http://tu154.avsim.ru/docs.htmlBTW, a well experienced reviewer (even with real flight Tu-154 experience) at the German Flightxpress magazine has rated the Tu-154 the best Jet in the history of FS. Flight dynamics and feel are apparently very authentic.Michael
