September 12, 200421 yr Heres a pic that I took. How can I change the red lights. To me they look like they "glow" to much.
September 12, 200421 yr is all your scenery default? or have you been messing around with airport upgrades and such...
September 12, 200421 yr Yes I have added a few upgrades. This pic was from KMIA, wich I have upgraded. But this is the same for all aiports.
September 12, 200421 yr i think you either installed the popular "airport environment upgrade" that change global runway textures, etc., orwhen you added on one of the custom airports it changed the global runway lighting files for you thinking it was doing you a favor with "improved" lights (or you unwittingly did this while intalling the airport manually, not knowing this was going to affect all of your airport lighting).im pretty sure the default lights don't look like that, so you just need to find a way to reinstall the default. hopefully you have made backups of all of your fs9 texture folders so this should be easy... you just have to examine the airport packages you installed from their original .zips and see what particular lighting files they copied over.that's my guess anyway
September 12, 200421 yr Go into the FS9 .cfg file under 'Display'. There will be some sections for lighting you can adjust. You can try changing the line that says 'Runway_Lights_VASI_Scalar'. I have mine set at .7, default is 1.0. Hopefully this will help. I have all my light sections at .7 actually.Eric
September 13, 200421 yr maybe the default light ARE blurry and i just never noticed... i just ran across this http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...ID21/17837.html
September 13, 200421 yr >Heres a pic that I took. How can I change the red lights. Which aircraft is this?Paddy.
September 13, 200421 yr Paddy, That's the new LO49A Constellation with the panel that comes with it. If you havn't got it yet, get it right here at Avsim.I'm no expert on aircraft, but this one is great, and the sound of the engines are outstanding. By the way, thanks to all for the replies. Just got home from work, and will research them all for a better light. Thanks, Bob McDuff
