Secondary vor not working on downloads

Featured Replies

I've recently downloaded two aircraf, a Dash 8 by Bob May d8jaz24 and a Saab. On each only the large vor works. Is there any way i can get both active? Thanks

Open the aircraft.cfg and scroll down to the "radios" section. The second number of the Nav radios should be a "1". Same with the third number to get glide slope active via the Nav2 radio (change the zero to a one).[radios] // Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope Audio.1=1 Com.1=1, 1 Com.2=1, 1 Nav.1=1, 1, 1 Nav.2=1, 1, 0 Adf.1=1Adf.2=1 Transponder.1=1 Marker.1=1

There is no radios section in cfg file. This Dash 8 panel looks the same as theKing Air and of course there is a radios section in the King Air cfg file and it shows nav.1=1,0,1 nav.2=1,0,0 I'm just trying to get the nav 2 to be active. It is totally dead now. Thanks

Add the radios section (from my first post) into your "aircraft.cfg" that doesn't have a radios section. Every now and then it is inadvertently left out. "Save" your work. Restart FS. The radios should work now, depending on the type of radios used in the panel. The radios should be working for you now, but if some of the radio functions don't work properly (due to their style), go back into the aircraft.cfg and change the radios section to look like the King Airs radio section:(Radios) //<----use brackets instead of parenthesisAudio.1=1Com.1=1, 0Com.2=1, 0Nav.1=1, 0, 1Nav.2=1, 0, 0Adf.1=1Transponder.1=1Marker.1=1=======================Reading the "Radios" section:0 (Zero)= feature is not activated1 (One)= feature is activated//Radio Type=available, standby frequency, has glide slopeRadio Type= Com.1, Com.2, Nav.1, Nav.2, etc.available= 0 (zero) is not activated (or available), 1 (one) is activated (or available)standby frequency= if the radio has a standby radio freq then zero is not activated, one is activated.has glide slope= if your nav gauges have an available glide slope; zero is not activated, one is activated.so ifNav.2=1, 0, 0thenRadio Type is a second Nav Radio or Nav.2the "1" shows the radio is availablethe "0" shows that the standby freq is not activatedthe last "0" shows glide slope is not activatedHope this helps get you up and running.

Thankyou! "dogknot"
