September 15, 200421 yr Is there a way to view your plane in Spot View and at the same time have some of the basic cockpit instruments showing on the screen so you can watch takeoffs, levelling, etc and have use of some of the instruments? Thanks.Louis
September 15, 200421 yr Not exactly as you've written, but here are some included FS9 options that will accomplish what you are seeking.Open FS9 and get into your favorite aircraft...You can now open a popup "views" window while sitting in your aircraft (or outside your aircraft as far as that goes).Default key assignment for Spot Plane View window: Ctrl+Qor viaViewsNew ViewSpot Planeoruse the default key assignment "[" (left bracket) to open the popup views window(s), right-click and select the view you wish for the window, or an option to close."]" (right bracket) to close window(s).You can have multiple windows open, each with a different view. The windows are movable and resizable.Click inside the popup window and it becomes the active window (noted by a thin white border), you can then pan, zoom, etc. in the popup. Click outside the popup window, the popup remains viewable but all your actions are active within the default window. You can use these popup windows in any main view you choose. You could also be in your fav aircraft, behind the panel, select the "W" key to get outside the panel with minimal gauges displayed, bring up a popup "views" window, and fly away. Hit the "W" again and have no gauges/no panel, and the "W" key a 3rd time brings you back to the original panel view.Lots of variations to play with. Maybe one of these will become one of your favorites.
