FS Maintenance

Featured Replies

Is there a program ou there that does the same thing FS Maintenance did?

BillNo, but FS9 aircraft from FSD include something similar. Goto http://www.fsd-international.com/Hillary

In short, no, there's no program that'll do exactly what FS Maintenance did. The FSD aircraft for FS2K4 as well as the Aerworx/FFS Beech King 200 do similar things, though. I always really liked FSMaintenance, and while there is no replacement, I can recommend a couple of alternate programs that when combined provide some of the same features.1) FS Reliability Factor-this simple program does exactly what it says: adds the reliability factor to your airplanes similar to what FSM did. Although maintenance really has nothing to do with it, you still get that realistic possibility that something could go wrong. It's also a very inexpensive program, so that's nice too! You can find it at http://members.rogers.com/swsupport/ReliabilityFactor/.2) If you liked the flight evaluations that FSM did, you might look at FS Flight Keeper. It's a really nice logbook type software that helps you organize your flights, as well as a host of other features (map display, ACARS, VA Integration, etc). It does an equally detailed report on each flight that will tell you exactly what you did wrong and need to work on, just like FSMaintenance did. You can find it at http://www.molitor-home.de/FS/FLKeeper/.Unfortunately, there is nothing else out there that simulates the maintenance aspect of things...hopefully Lago will get smart and release a new version...Regards,Marc
