September 24, 200421 yr My main copy of FS9 is on my C drive and has numerous bits and pieces some good some not so good.I am thinking of adding a second installation to my new D drive.I would like this to be my best of the best version with only the best tried addons added. How can I run two vesrions of FS9 on one computer without problems and how would I install the second version?ThanksPeter
September 24, 200421 yr PeterI'm almost certain you can do this. You should also be able to use the same directory structure as on your C: drive, that way you only have to change the drive letter when installing add-ons. The only potential problem would be the registry, but I've installed dual copies of other programs that use the registry without any troubles at all.David
September 25, 200421 yr I'm pretty sure the installer won't let you install it twice, so you have to somehow copy the entire fs9 folder to the new destination, you could for instance backup your old installation, uninstall, install again where you want the registry to believe fs9 is and then copy from the backup. I know that this sounds self evident... Also the location of fs9.cfg is outside of the fs folder, which may pose a problem.-
