October 3, 200421 yr This is probably a dumb question but I haven't been able to find the answer. What does it mean when you identify your aircraft with a suffix like: Air Canada 1123 with Tango? or with whatever? It only comes up once at the beginning of the flight. Thanks - Terry
October 3, 200421 yr It is the current version ATIS weather report that this pilot heard. Notice that the ATIS loop begins and ends with a phonetic letter/ tango in this case. Each hour and/or each time the weather report changes, the latter increments. So if this pilots says, "Air Canada 123 with Tango," but a new weather report has been issued (Uniform), then, in the real world, the controller will update the weather for the pilot. MSFS ain't that smart. R-
October 3, 200421 yr Yeah I always thought it was just some arbitrary letter until I started ground school...
