October 4, 200421 yr Hello Members. This one is causing me some grief, and I don't know how to rectify this problem, other than doing a complete re-install of FS2002.A screen print is attached, but I'm in the default B777 at the 24L Threshold at Manchester UK, where the runway heading is 235 degrees (231 True). The question is, Why does the Nav Display show me heading 342 degrees ?I have POL VOR set on VOR1 and HON on VOR2I'm using 3rd party scenery, but it's just the same if I use the default.ThanksPaul Jennings
October 5, 200421 yr I've seen this at various points around the globe. I've never found a definitive solution, but I have made it go away. My first suggestion is to check your scenery.cfg file in the FS2002 main folder. See how many sceneries you've got. The maximum number is supposedly somewhere around 310, including all the defaults. When I started pushing above that number, a lot of nasty things happened. So, the first thing to do is cut back on your most recently-installed sceneries until you're under that 310 number. The number that counts is [Area.xxx].There may also be a single scenery add-on that has some bearing (pun intended) on this problem. When I thought I had the problem, removing a scenery in Canada made a problem go away in San Jose. The scenery causing the problem may not be geographically related to the places you see the problem. Also, this was not a "global" effect. My San Jose problem only extended out about 20 miles from the airport, although I think it was worse around Austin, Texas.
October 5, 200421 yr Well Captain.I'm grateful for the information. Having checked my scenery file, I was only up to around 135/140 sceneries, but I took the view that if this was causing the problem, I should be bold, and start from scratch, so this is what I did, and I only have 2 sceneries in, but my default shows the runway heading as it should be.Many Thanks.PJ:+
