May 28, 201313 yr :t4020: I have an older system [Dell 8250 Desktop] that runs Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. I have been totally unable to get the Expansion Pack installed, I think Microsoft does not intend that we will be able to re-install [on Windows 7]! Consequently, I have given up trying to re-install the Expansion Pack. What I am now looking for is a workaround that will allow me to install the F-18 and the aircraft carriers from my Expansion Pack disk [after all I paid for them!]. Does anyone know how to do that? Thank you! Steven L. Edwards Palm Springs, CA USA :united-states-flag: Steven L. Edwards Palm Springs, CA USA
May 28, 201313 yr I think you better look elsewhere other than blaming Win7 for the failure to install. What version are you installing on to. FSX Gold, Deluxe?

You've never tried to install the SDK updates on a Win7 machine, have you? Does anyone know how to do that? What's happening when you try? Is the disk just spinning in the DVD drive or are you getting an error message of some type?
May 28, 201313 yr Author I think you better look elsewhere other than blaming Win7 for the failure to install. What version are you installing on to. FSX Gold, Deluxe? I don't blame Windows 7. I have been able to re-install FSX [with a little help via a Microsoft Fix-it] - no problem - but the Expansion Pack will not install, at least not on my system. I have the Microsoft FSX Gold Edition which contains the two FSX installation disks and the one disk for the Acceleration Expansion Pack. You've never tried to install the SDK updates on a Win7 machine, have you? What's happening when you try? Is the disk just spinning in the DVD drive or are you getting an error message of some type? No to the SDK updates. I click on the setup.exe and a little message box flashes, instantaneously and then - nothing, zip, nada. After that it does not even attempt installation; there is no Microsoft Fix-it for this one!
