October 17, 200421 yr I hope that they fix this in the next release (as far as ATC is concerned):I was at Columbia Gorge Regional (KDLS) and I was listening to the Automated Weather. As you know, if they don't have the name of the airport in the database, they'll just use the ICAO sign. The person doing the ATIS says it this way: KILO, DELTA, LIEMA, SIERRA, which I thought is pretty interesting, since the other voices pronounces the phonetic L correctly when it comes to the information type. I'm surprised the folks at MS didn't catch that one.
