June 14, 201312 yr Hi folks, Firstly, what I'm reporting here may only be relevent to ATI cards, as that's what I use. So please keep that in mind. In my ATI Catalyst Control Centre software, I use the following settings:- AntiAliasing: Override Application Settings Samples: 4xEQ AAMethod: Supersampling .......now, forgetting ENB / SweetFX for a moment, when I am running without these, the above settings give me a stunning level of AA; everything is smooth, no jaggies, and no shimmering at all in FSX. However, as soon as I use either ENB or SweetFX although I get all of the other lovely effects, my AA always degrades.... there is still some AA happening but I cannot get it anywhere near the quality that it is, when ENB is not being used. Is this something to do with the D3D9.dll that ENB and similar addons use? I tried SweetFX for the first time yesterday and whilst the bloom and sharpening was fantastic, I had shimmering at most of my addon airports and some jaggie lines across the top of aircrafts etc.... there was some AA happening, but again, it was greatly reduced compared to what ATI CCC does when there is no ENB or SweetFX installed. I tried the SMAA and the FXAA settings of SweetFX but even the small noticeable difference I could see from these, was much less effective than the AA I get when I have no ENB or SweetFX installed.... So my question is, does using these addons like ENB or SweetFX always mean a reduced level of AA, as compared to when they're not installed ?
