October 27, 200421 yr OK, I am no programmer but I've been told the app I need would take an experienced VB person about an hour to do. I may be the only one who needs this so it is a limited market. I would be happy to pay a reasonable amount for it (Paypal preferably). OK, here is the problem.I have a home cockpit and use a real aviation intercom with headsets to communicate with my copilot as well as VATSIM. The intercom has a PTT button that I've attached to the yoke. When I push the button the signal is passed to my Vatsim computer and with Roger Wilco I could set the voice activation so that the signal would automatically move on to the internet.Advanced Voice Client is a huge leap forward from RW and in fact I can't even get RW to work anymore. The only problem with AVC is that it does not support voice activation. I can appreciate why they did that because we certainly don't need all the open mics that we had in the past. But with AVC I have to push the PTT switch with my left hand and push a keyboard key (ctrl) to talk.Sooo... long story short - I really need a stand alone app that senses input on the line-in above a certain threshold (great if the threshold is adjustable!) and then outputs a keypress (ctrl) as long as the signal continues. This came as a recommendation from the developer of AVC who unfortunately is too busy to do it himself at the moment. Is there anyone out there capable of doing this kind of thing in an hour or two? Maybe someone knows of something already out there. I've tried a hardware solution with no luck so far. The PTT switch is not just a simple switch, unfortunately. It remains closed until pushed and then opens the circuit. Current passes through it when it is not pushed. I've tried relays to trigger a signal to a keyboard but no luck. Any advice or programmers willing to give it a shot? ThanksDavid
