realistic 'realism settings'

Featured Replies

Dear all,I use fs9.1 with a saitekx45 (joystick+throttle and analog rudder's buttons)I know it might seen obvious at first but what are the most realistic 'realism settings' for medium/small prop aircrafts and jet fighter aircrafts?at the aeroworx forum they suggested the first slider 100% and all the others 50% for their b200.I of course tried turning all the sliders up to 100% but it makes all the aircrafts very nervous, difficult to trim and unrealistic at takeoff and landing. My only real pilot experience has been with a robin dr400 doing takeoff and landings under medium winds and rain. well I had to trim it once maybe twice a flight. Also at takeoff despite its single prop features I would still be able to keep it straight almost with no rudder corrections...I had a chat with a former g222 military instructor (he's crazy about fs2004 too) and he confirmed me exactly the same issues and also that despite the nervous airplanes it's still like flying on railings. With fs2004 (tried with no wind and every aircraft) I would be trimming every 20 seconds.Takeoffs are the most frustrating things: It would always turn left no matter the size/type of aircraft and I need a good amount of rudder to keep it straight on the runway. Funny enough It's still happening with a baron or biplanes in general (where the forces applied at takeoffs should be balanced -hence- no rudder corrections needed). It happens to heavy as well (b747) 4engines etc. They still get affected by torque effects and behave very nervously. So I ended up keeping aeroworx realism settings (realism 100% and all the others (gyro torque etc. 50%).This way takeoffs are almost straight and I need to trim -only- every 30-40 seconds (still ridiculous).but in the end I'm still not happy about it as the scenery AI aircrafts all look great except the feeling of flight....So here's my questions:what are the most realistic 'realism settings'?and what's your joystick's deadband/sensibilityOf course this is open to every flightsimmer and I'm most curious to hear from reallife pilots :)thanks a lotLuca
