Getting add ons to work...

Hello all!I'm real new to flight sim. I have Flight sim 2004 but I have no idea how to get add on aircraft to be recognized by the program. Please bear in mind that I'm not bad with computers but I'm definitley not a tech genius. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to indulge me.Cheers!Flycarb

hi, i'm going through the same thing. i can get some aircraft to show up but getting a different panel is another story. the zip files in the library have installation instructions in some of them, the others have the instructions included in the file you download. the panel i downloaded the other night had no instructions! so i don't have a good panel now. i'm thinking this sort of stuff is something ya just have to pick up or already know how to do. i don't so it's trial by error. keep at it though or buy payware which is what i'm thinking if my machine will run it. good luck. william

There are some very good tutorials at all of the major sim sites(forums) on how to install planes, panels and sounds. Check 'em out. Then if ya are still having some problems come back to the forum and ask away.-------------------Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember whatifdgsupport.jpg

thanks and will do. william

Thanks much!!! I'll look for it. Flycarib

I too used to be baffled years ago when I first started, but I now have over 10GB of addons. Others have even more I'm sure. The tutorials really are helpful and straight forward. You'll be enjoying the freeware in no time. BIG THANKS must always go to freeware producers BTW :-beerchug Eddy
