Horrible Audio Problem

Featured Replies

I'm having quite the annoyance going on in FS. For some reason, I all of the sudden have this horrible, annoying, and tortuous wind noise anytime the wind is blowing. It is looped and GODAWFUL!! I've had FS2004 since it came out and have never hear this awful wind sound before! It started the other day when I selected the Thunderstorm weather theme and I noticed it then, thinking that it must be the sound for a TStorm. But no, it comes on anytime there is wind and I am in an external view. It doesn't come on as long as I'm in the cockpit. It doesn't even turn off when I hit ALT and am going through the dialog boxes. Even if the wind is only blowing 1 or 2 knots it sounds like a tornado is going to sweep through and drop me in the Land of Oz!!! It gets louder the more the wind blows.I have tried turning the Environment sounds down and off in the Sounds Settings dialog but it doesn't even phase the wind from Satan noise. I have Active Sky 2004.5 installed but have found no setting that creates horrid wind noise.PLEASE HELP ME!Despising FS at this moment,Jared

if you use active cam just turn of the sound effects and you should be ok...
