Help with installing FSX A

Hi

I have had to reload FSX.   The FSX (Gold) part loads and plays although it did not load an icon to the desktop all aircraft and scenery appear normal.   When I try to load the acceleration all goes well and it loads from disc.  

When the sim starts the normal screen appears but when you select an aircraft the view is of an aircraft in kit form with bits missing or not attached to the aircraft and if the sim is started the scenery has black/blank areas and the aircraft is also in kit form.  

My computer which is Windows 7 with an nvidia graphics card has run FSX and acceleration before without problems.   I have tried several reloads using various compatibility settings and be it XP or Vista the result is the same.

I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and knows of a work around or fix.
