I tried it and didn't think it made any difference, so got rid of it. frame rates went from 8 ps to 25ps with the sim set at 28ps, in the vc panning round at night, clear skies, no ai, and that is about the same as usual. Does it over-clock or something:-roll :-hmmm

Have you checked for spyware after the install? I've ssen a lot of places to download that program, but very few valid reviews. There have been a number of comments in newsgroups about it containing spyware, but sionce I haven't installed I can't be sure. When I have a few minutes I'll do a before scan, install, and then after scan for spyware.

I did a bit of research, and the only thing I found vs. this program and Spyware is that it detects when a cracked serial number is used and pops up warnings on the offender's PC and threatens to notify their ISP.Serves 'em right for pirating the software.Still, programs like this in general tend to be the snake oil of the week. They juggle the commonly known methods of speeding up systems, like swap file, vcache, app. priority, etc.... They also scan your registry and in some instances, keep unneeded apps and known performance killers from starting up. Now there's been a lot of discussion about a team that optimizes your system for money--they offer a good service. I wouldn't trust software, however cleverly designed, to do the same thing. There's too much one doesn't know about that can happen "under the hood".The biggest framerate boost I ever received in MSFS, for example, was when I disabled my keyboard manager program. I had one of those keyboards with buttons for the Web, Email, System (Sound) volume, etc... The thing was causing me a good 10-15 pct. loss in fps. I turned it off, lost the functionality, but had a much smoother sim. It took a bit of research, but I was able to discover that fps stealer on my own.Anyway, that's the type of things these programs look at. But it's already here in the forums in terms of shared knowledge, and the bonus is you have one less application on your system.-John

Hi there.I have run Adaware, spybot and AVG Antivirus on it after deleting it. A total of 15 files were spotted which were quarantined, and AVG found nothing. I should have been more suspicious of it as you couldn't save it, only run or delete it which seems a bit iffy.

Hi,I agree with JohnCi : most of the things those utilities do are more or less already known. But using them you might come across one tip you have never paid attention before. And their added value lies in the fact that they gather in one program many tweaks. On the other hand they might disable or set a parameter on a function that you do not often use and the day a problem arises you do not necessarily think it stems from the tweaker utility. The concept is attractive though and for those who are interested I found 2 freeware, Safe Xp and Game XP, available from this site : http://www.theorica.netTony.

Unfortunately, those looking for a quick fix can cause more problems than what they may be attempting to solve, if they are in that category.
