December 21, 200421 yr Hi Henry,What aircraft are you loading when starting FS9? Is it the default or a new aircraft you recently downloaded and installed? The reason I ask is that a search I conducted through Google found an indiv who had a similiar crash (caused by FE.dll) when flying his aircraft. He subsequently learned that a portion of the aircraft was only an 8-bit bitmap. It should have been a 32-bit or DXT3 bitmap. He converted it to a DXT3 bitmap with no MIPS and he no longer receives the error or crash. So, if you're going directly to a saved flight this may be the cause of your problem as textures and scenery are being loaded at startup.Hope this helps.Jim
December 21, 200421 yr Author Hi JimIf i remember right when it loads its the Cessna...it's been so long since i loaded it up though! Is there some sort of config file that determines the startup aircraft?Henry Upcoming Flights http://www.mcdermottassociates.co.uk/image...irways_logo.gifMonday 20th December 2004 BAW430 Heathrow-Amsterdam 0840/1055 A321BAW435 Amsterdam-Heathrow 1450/1505 A320http://www.airline-images.co.uk
December 21, 200421 yr Hi Henry,The Cessna is the default aircraft. My recommended solution is probably wrong. If this is the first time starting up FS9 for a long time I would back up your FS9.cfg file first and then delete it and let it rebuild itself. If that doesn't work you'll probably have to uninstall and reinstall the sim (ugh!).Jim
