December 4, 200421 yr Is there a way to delete a wx reporting station out of fs 9? I fly mainly out of KEGT, the closest reporting station is KIAB, no matter what the weather is in the area KIAB never has a visibility reported over 7 sm. The surrounding stations such as KICT, KWLD and KPNC report more realistic visibilities, so when flying in and out of KEGT it is like coming in and out of Lower Uncton..........(please excuse the Married With Children reference;-}Thanks,Ice
December 4, 200421 yr In the Weather folder there is a weatherstationlist.bin file. I opened it with WordPad. Not sure what would happen if you deleated the KIAB entry. Might want to back up this file and then give it a try.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
December 4, 200421 yr I deleted KIAB out of that file and tried it out, sim performed normally but KIAB was still there. I then deleted it out of the weathermapping.bin file and tried again........once again sim performed okay but KIAB was still there. As a user of AS2004 I wonder if there is something in that program that might still be calling up KIAB or is totally dependent on what fs9 has?????????Thanks,Ice
December 4, 200421 yr Hi Ice,Well, that would have been some helpful information that you are using AS 2004!! (J/K). In your AS2004 folder there is a complete_airport_list file. Delete from there! Please back up beforehand!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
December 4, 200421 yr OOPS!!!!!!!! sorry about that, I deleted KIAB from the complete_airport_list file as you suggested no joy, however, I noticed a wx_station_list file in the folder as I was doing this. I went back and deleted KIAB from this file as well and now KIAB has ceased to exsist!!!!!!!! Not so great for the military but works for meThanks for all the help,Ice:-yellow1
