December 6, 200421 yr Hello im new to this forum - sorry if i have put the topic in the wrong section!Im using flight simulator 2002 and when flying the default 737 with spoilers armed, they rarely deploy - the same also happens on the PSS A320 package.Any suggestions as to why - and solutions?Regarding the PSS A320 package, the rudder has never been in operation since i have purchased the product, however works fine on the A330/340 variants (from PSS)? I have checked auto - rudder and that is off...I also experience problems flying the A320 and A321 on approach - it flies as if the aircraft is out of balance, i.e. high angles of attack for 700fpm descent on final approach phase. The A321 is particulary bad, but flies fine on other stages of the flight. I have checked fuel and weight configuration on the aircraft and they are within limits on approach and landing. The only plane i really fly at the moment is the A319 as that performs well (maybe too well with 4000 fpm on climb to accelaration altitude!), but would like to sort out the A320/321 problems so they are flyable. Many ThanksDan
December 7, 200421 yr I'm not familiar with the PSS series, but as far as the default 737, make sure that it is armed by clicking on the icon to display the throttle quadrant. The spoiler handle should be in the ARM position. It may have gotten unarmed if you hit the / key if you needed to slow down. Double check by leaving the throttle quadrant open, then hitting shift-/ a few times.
December 7, 200421 yr Spoilers will not auto-deploy if throttle is not correctly at idle at t/d. Probably need to calibrate your throttle. As for the PSS thing, yaw damper off, but not in flight. Swept wing aircraft are susceptible to Dutch Roll, which is why they need the yaw damper. Allcott
December 7, 200421 yr Ok thanks for the replies so far. I have yaw damper on throughout the flight but the rudder still does not work. I will make sure that the throttles are at idle on T/D for spoilers to deploy.Any other suggestions? Thanks
