Scenery Blurry!

Featured Replies

Hi.anyone have any ideas why this scenery is going blury on me.I have the registered version of FSUIPC (3.4.1.1) and vis in FS9 and FSUIPC set to 50NM clear, and 35NM cloudy.FS9 and the Patch applied, no add-on scenery at all.thanks in advance guy's.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/99925.jpg

It's hard to tell because the resolution is scaled down, but the gradual blurring of scenery in the distance looks pretty typical of real life given the vis settings you've noted. Go to airliners.net, and take a peek at a few of the outside shots posted in flight. "Super sharp" scenery is more the exception than the norm in real-life. We see a lot of it here in the desert southwest, but fly over Iowa, or Austria, and that screenshot you have is spot on.FSUIPC does have an option which tweaks the vis--scales it back depending on altitude. If you want scenery to be sharper, make sure this option isn't working behind the scenes. Anyway, with the possible exception of those textures closest to the aircraft, I think this shot is an excellent reproduction of real life.-John
