December 8, 200421 yr Besides the Abacus Twin Otter, is anyone else doing this aircraft? I personally don't think too highly of the Abacus version, and I know there was a really good freeware version available, however is any payware maker doing this? Its one of the most popular short/med hop planes in the world (from the antartic to Alaska) and is an awesome plane.
December 8, 200421 yr Hello, you might want to have a look at LAGO'S DHC-6 Twin Otter:http://www.lagosim.com/default.asp?act=sch...100023〈=engOriginally it was made for FS2002 but they patched it for FS2004. Christian http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/chrismo/sigsky.jpgVacation: wasted time between 2 flights!
December 8, 200421 yr I was actually thinking this the other day, I took the LAGO Twotter out for a fly, and was shocked at how out of date it looks now.I guess we have been spoilt, but the Twotter needs bringing "up to standard"Dan.
December 8, 200421 yr I agree that the twin Otter is a great plane. I flew in one a lot in northern Manitoba bush country. Incredibly rough, loud and stank of kerosene. It was perfect! :D It was operated by Calm Air, a partner of the defunked Canadian Airlines. I went up to Thompson to get pics as Barry Blaisdell said they would do a repaint but sadly the plane had been sold and repainted.Barry and his group, Permier Aircraft Design, made several nice freeware ones and I once had the ultimate panel - one of the early ones they made - but unfortunately lost it. Not that fond of their latest panels. Oh well.Adam
December 10, 200421 yr These guys make excellent Twotters...http://www.premaircraft.com/index.htmlThey are constantly updating them and adding new paints and so on..No doubt about it...Ronson2k
December 10, 200421 yr That is Barry Blaisdell :)Yes, their Twotter used to be the ultimate one but no longer.I stopped supporting them when they started promoting the use of cracks and illegal distribution of intellectual property (read, the FS2000 Pro gauges).
