atc and default aircraft appear even when connect to vatsim HELP!

hello fellow simmers goodnight

 

I just installed vatsim and everything, but im having a problem. When I connect I can still see default aircraft and the atc bar still pops up. This is not good because in fs9 as soon as you connect the default aircraft would disappear and you would see only the aircraft in the vatsim server. I decided to upgrade to fsx. can anyone help to get rid of the default aircraft when I sign into vatsim. thanks a lot!!
