Sound popping issue

Hi guys,

I've been having a little problem lately. Sometimes, I hear a random and very short pop in the sound. I've had this in FSX but also in iRacing. In iRacing I sometimes hear it when I run over the grass. In FSX it seems to happen at random times but every now and then he sound just completely skips for two seconds (it just goes quiet) while FSX continues running normally. I presume it occurs with particular sound files at the moment they load and start playing. But again, it doesn't happen all the time it's just a very short pop I hear every few minutes. But it's of course getting real annoying when the sound just stops playing for a few seconds.

I've never had this problem before, and the only thing I have done lately is updating the NVIDIA drivers. Perhaps their audio drivers can cause this.

Before I will start wasting my time to random troubleshooting, I wonder what is usually causing this?
