November 26, 201312 yr Hi, I've recently changed from FS9 to FSX and I'm having trouble setting the wind in advanced weather. These are the steps I've taken prior to the problem : Load saved game with the aircraft on the ILS at 1000' Go to User Defined Weather > Advanced Weather and set a 35kt crosswind The wind behaves as you would expect until around 30-50' AGL when it suddenly turns into a 20kt tailwind. I've also tried setting the wind at the appropriate Specific Weather Station but still get the same result. Thanks for any help.
February 18, 201412 yr Same problem here. That kills all my passenger many times.Google does not return any useful answer too, maybe incorrect keyword?
February 18, 201412 yr That kills all my passenger many times. To OP, if you have the full version of FSUIPC installed, you can choose how many degrees the wind can change per second or how many knots per second.
February 18, 201412 yr KylanWalters thx . But maybe there's some cheaper solution?I've done some tryings. In my case, it seems not its not really related to altitude but area of airport. Here's my steps: 1. Load saved game with and B747 about 7 nm , right on the G/S. Set the weather to constant crosswind As the altitude drop to 50ft (by GPWS), wind speed suddenly drops to 0 (by those red information lines). 2. Select a Bell 206 and start on the runway Set the weather same as above The wind blows normally on ground and anywhere within field As long as I leave the airfield area (about the time hearing inner marker), wind HGD changes and speed drop to 5-6 kt like an invisible wind wall. Buddy are you experiencing the same situation as I did?
