Rotating button animation appears reversed

This weekend I had a feeling something was wrong when I turned MCP knobs or changed MFD scale. I zoomed in a bit and noticed that, when I turned the button clockwise, the animation of the ribbed surface appeared to turn counter-clockwise. Am I going crazy? Anybody else noticed this effect? The indicator-notch on the button moved in the right direction; it was just the ribbed surface that consistently went in the wrong direction.
