RWY12 Object Placer v 1.1 Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,I didn't see a specific forum for the Program Rwy Object Placer v1.1 by Israel Roth and Seev Kahn so thought I'd ask for some help here. I made a new airport using AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy but all the terrain is default. I wanted to add some objects using Rwy12. This is a long post so please be patient.I installed Rwy12 and all the necessary files with no problems. I followed the tutorial: Opened fs9 - slew to where I wanted to place the object then minimized fs9. I started Rwy12 and selected my object.I selected the "New button"(not sure what this does), pressed the "Add button." I selected the "SyncFS button", then went to "Save as.." and saved to the "scenery folder" of my "airport scenery"(as suggested in the tutorial), then generated the scenery. I checked the save location and the Rwy12 "BGL" and "XML" files were there. I had already added the new airport scenery area in fs9 - settings - scenery. The airport shows up along with some LAGO FSE objects. Unfortunately, the rwy12 object does not show. I tried moving the Rwy12 BGL file to X:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs9addonsceneryscenery. No luck here either. I then moved it to X:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs9 sceneryworldscenery file. Also, no luck.:-(I kept the altitude parameter at 0-AGL, as it shows in the tutorial. Everything seems to work OK when generating the scenery object(no error messages)but the objects don't appear in fs9.I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong - maybe I'm not following a proper order during the object selection and generation phases. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.TomHappy Holidays!

There is a Rwy 12 Forum here:http://www.rwy12.com/portal/Your order might have been a little off, what I do is first select the object I want to place, then click the "SyncFS" button, then click the "Add" button. The object should appear in the list on the left of the screen. Then generate the .bgl file. If you move the file to the Addon Scenery/Scenery folder it should show up. That works for me.Jim

It was downloaded so I ran the installation program, followed your instructions and - Bingo! The RWY12 scenery was there! The program is addicting - I've been playing with objects for the last few hours. Also, thanks for the link to the Rwy12 website.Hope Santa is good to you.Tom
