December 28, 200421 yr Hi all I wonder if any of you guys could give me some advise, my present hard drive is near full its a 20gig 4 years old prob 5400rpm, I have just got a western digital 40gig 8mb cache 7200rpm they are both IDE, now to get the best results from F/SIM 2002 with VFR photo scenery would I be better just fitting the new hard drive and removing the old one, or would the sim run just as well with 2 hard drives fitted, I am trying not to have to do a full reinstall, my sys is windows ME 930mhz P3.if I did just install the new hard drive would it be possible to copy the contents of the old to the new one.Regards Nick in the UK.
December 28, 200421 yr If you want to move FS2002 to the new HD, you should be fine. You'll need to:~Update the registry to point to the new FS2002 location~Update the paths to any add-ons in the registry and various.cfg filesThe easiest way to update the paths in the registry is to do a search on the key value "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002" (assuming your original drive used the drive letter of "C"). For add-ons, search the contents of your hard drive for text strings containing the same path.-John
