January 2, 200521 yr Hi - I really need some help! For some reason my FS9.1 is CTD all of the time. I can't get it do do anything - it's usually within a few seconds of loading.I have used PMDGs 737NG for months now, and I've never had a problem with it - and that is the only aircraft I fly at the moment. I can't remember the last time my FS9.1 crashed - it's hardly ever happened!Anyway - about a month ago I installed AS2004.5 and I started getting CTDs. Well, it happened a couple of times but then it seemed to stop, and everything seemed fine! Anyway - I have come to my machine this morning, and I can't even get the sim working for more than a minute! There was no error message, but the event log contains:Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: Event Category: NoneEvent ID: 0Date: 02/01/2005Time: 09:55:21User: N/AComputer: GARYDescription:The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 6.Data:0000: 3f 3f d1 2a 23 e6 92 2d ??
January 2, 200521 yr I forgot to say:Quite a lot of the time (but not all of the time) the CTD occurs when I go into the weather options, select to load real-world weather and let it load it in. The screen comes up displaying the weather data - I click ok, and it crashes. It's like the weather is all messed up for some reason.
January 2, 200521 yr It is a very simple thing to uninstall PMDG with the Uninstall tool on their website and see if you still have the problem. If not, just reinstall PMDG. If you still have the problem, it must not be related to either Active Sky or PMDG. By the way, have you tried asking on the forums for those products?
January 2, 200521 yr Gary,I have had the CTD when loading weather with my flight (at the Create a Flight screen). I found that if you load the flight first and then get your weather, it will not crash. Have you tried deleting your FS9.cfg (after backing it up or renaming it)? It will then rebuild itself. Also concur uninstalling and reinstalling PMDG if you really think this is the problem.Jim
January 2, 200521 yr Thanks Mate - I don't know what the problem is - but it just seems to be totally random now.I did think that perhaps it was the new cloud texture I had downloaded (...months ago), so I replaced it with the original, and that got me working for a bit, but it crashed an hour into the flight.I'm not sure what it is. The textures on the aircraft aren't displaying right either. I'm wondering if there is a problem with my machine, rather than any of the addons.Gary
