January 7, 200521 yr I wondered why this little airport had these yellow X's on the runways. It seems odd that it is in the sim yet closed off to traffic. Do the X's mean something else?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/102881.jpg
January 7, 200521 yr Martha Lake was purchased by the county in 2000 and is now closed. The X designates a closed runway. Closed or abandoned fields are shown on charts - they are still an aid to visual navigation, so MS's decision to include the field in the database is in keeping with general practice.Don't get me started on conversion of GA airports to parks or more condos.
