4 freeware programs have made me a happy camper!

Featured Replies

I've added a lot of payware to my FS9. Many airplanes, FSGenesis mesh and landclass, USA Roads, FS Water, American Data Railroads, Streams and Utilities, all in the interest of making FS9 look better. But I always wanted my local airport and surrounding area to look more realistic. Now, thanks to some great freeware programs I have just what I've been wanting.I used Israel Roth and Seev kahn's "Rwy12 Object Placer" to add proper buildings, vehicles, static planes, beacon, and fencing to my local airport. I used Peter Ricciardiello's "NY Lakes v1.2" which gave me the missing Mohawk River south of my airport, and corrected the Sacandaga Reservoir north of my airport complete with islands. It's one of the major features you see when flying out Fulton Co. airport.Lars Moellebjerg's "EditVoicepack" allowed me to change my radio transmissions from "November Yankee traffic..." to "Fulton County traffic...".And last but not least, Markus Brunner's "GA Traffic" populated my airport with lots of GA traffic.Hats off to these guys for their contributions to the Flight Sim community and for making my local flying as real as possible.Who needs FS10?Jim

The sheer quality of freeware out there is amazing. Many a time I've installed mesh, added planes etc, see the results on FS9 and think "Wow...maybe this isnt free...but it is..!"Justin's freeware FSGenesis US mesh has transformed my simulation...and thats just one example....So yea..hats off to all of them :)
