February 2, 200521 yr When I dbl-click uninstall.exe, I get the uninstall screen alright, but then when I click OK, the computer gives me the following error message: "The system cannot find the path specified." (0x00000003)Anyone know what that means exactly?Suggested solutions are welcome! Also, is it possible to install FS9 over my existing FS9?Thanks,4Deucer
February 2, 200521 yr 4Deucer,If you goto the Microsoft site, under games, and goto the FS2004 section with FAQs about problems (sorry I can't remember where that is, but I was just there) there is a thread (I think it's the last one) about removing FS9 manually. I could not re-install FS9 over my current installation. I got an "already installed" error message. I'm trying to reinstall FS9.1,, and am having problems reinstalling that, as it also says "already installed." I suspect I'm going to have to manually remove FS9, which includes deleting registry entries, and redo the whole thing, again, for the umpteenth time, then reload FS9.1.keith
February 2, 200521 yr you can use the first disk, the one you use to install fs9 and click uninstall. not sure if that was what you used or not. it worked for me when the other uninstall places didn't work. also some things you may have to manually uninstall. william
February 2, 200521 yr KeithThe FS 9.1 patch stays in the FS9 Folder even after you use the uninstall utility. I had to manually delete the patch, as well as several other folders containing things the uninstall didn't see.FS9 Flight records are kept in Win XP Documents file. After the manual delete of the FS 9 patch, and upon reinstall of FS9.0, the FS9.1 patch installed.Good LuckRick (KMKE; Beautiful Winter weather)
February 3, 200521 yr Rick,Thanks for the tips. Jim Skorna (ActiveSky) emailed me to simply delete the BACKUP folder under the main FS9 folder. After that, the update installed just fine. Nice to have the bridges back.keith2W6
