A water texture issue.

Hi,Anyone know if someone or a company is working on new water texture/animation? Of all the water texture out there (free/commericial) right now, the ripples seem to be out of scale, too big. Hence it makes objects near any water look like tiny models. Is there a way to write an addon to do our own water animation? I'm interested to know.
